Privacy

The short version.

Last updated 19 May 2026

Brink is built local-first. Your library, your follows, your bookmarks, your listening history โ€” all of it lives on your device. We avoid collecting personal data we don't need to make the app work.

What stays on your device

Brink stores this in a local database on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData. We don't sync it to a Brink account or any server we run.

What leaves your device

Some features can't work entirely offline. When you use one of these, a request goes to a third party:

Analytics on this website

trybrink.app uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the marketing site (clicks, scrolls, session replays of the page itself). Clarity does not capture form contents or any data from inside the Brink iOS app. You can opt out at any time using your browser's privacy controls or Microsoft's privacy controls.

What we don't do

Children

Brink is rated 12+ and isn't designed for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change how Brink handles data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes we'll surface a notice in the app.

Apple's required disclosures

The Brink listing on the App Store includes Apple's standard Privacy Nutrition Labels โ€” the structured summary of what each feature collects. See the listing for the canonical breakdown.
